Flapmax has partnered with Intel to revolutionize AI innovation and promote economic empowerment specifically in Africa.

Through the joint venture, Flapmax and Intel will provide entrepreneurs in emerging markets, starting with Africa, with invaluable opportunities including technology access, mentorship, training, and funding through the highly esteemed FAST Accelerator program.

This program, designed to support startups creating AI-enabled products and cloud-based services that cater to the needs of Africa’s communities, companies, and governments, will pave the way for technological transformation.

FAST Accelerator was created by Flapmax in partnership with Microsoft, providing startups with a unique combination of business development support, funding opportunities, AI integration, and community building.

During the inaugural program, more than 800 startups from over 25 countries applied to participate. Now, startup leaders across Africa are encouraged to apply for this year’s FAST Accelerator program.

Top startup participants of the program will have an enriching opportunity to spend five weeks in Silicon Valley, California. They will forge valuable relationships with industry experts, potential investors, and global partners within Flapmax’s vast ecosystem of over 600 corporate partners.

Michael Campbell, General Manager of Education Client Division at Intel, emphasized the alignment of Intel’s mission with Flapmax’s vision.

Program participants will receive extensive mentorship and coaching from Intel, ranging from co-innovation projects to sales and marketing support, and go-to-market enablement.

Additionally, Flapmax’s engineering team will assist startups in applying Intel-optimized AI hardware and software solutions, as well as scaling and refining their AI models on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

The program participants will also benefit from various perks, including Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub offering up to $150,000 of cloud credits, and access to Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 developer sandboxes, Azure OpenAI, and the latest Large Language Models releases including ChatGPT and DALL·E 2.
