Google has unveiled plans to establish an AI research center focused on developing innovative solutions to address food insecurity in Africa.

Google’s AI center aims to leverage the power of artificial intelligence to tackle food security challenges in the continent. The tech giant has committed $25 million in funding for 15 AI projects, with a specific focus on Kenya and South Africa.

This move aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Digital project, which aims to achieve the SDGs through digital transformation.
