Netflix and TKO Group Holdings have announced that the streaming platform will begin airing the WWE’s flagship program Raw starting next year

This marks Netflix’s initial significant venture into live sports in an effort to enhance revenue and reduce subscription sharing.

Netflix is directing viewers towards its ad-tier membership, with live programming being a relatively limited aspect of its history.

The addition of Raw, currently broadcast on USA, to its programming lineup is expected to greatly benefit the platform.

Additionally, on the same day, the WWE’s parent company TKO disclosed that actor and former wrestling superstar Dwayne Johnson would be joining its board of directors.
